A Retreat Created Just For You, The Non-Drinker.
Yes, all of the online booze-free memes are wonderful, but imagine having a teetotaling community IRL.
I will be the first to say that social media, specifically Instagram, helped me create a solid community of like-hearted women. And not to be all dramatic, but it did, in fact, hold me accountable to this alcohol-free lifestyle I chose for myself back in 2015. Had I not opened my mouth and foolishly put myself out there into the great wide world of the internet, I probably would have slipped back into old patterns and started drinking again once the newness wore off. This is why I believe in the power of accountability, AND like it or not, having “social accountability” with thousands of strangers is intimidating, but it works really, really well. At least for me anyway.
However, after a few years of building a strong online community, I felt the limitations of what that can do on a deeper level. Yes, being able to reach thousands of people is one thing, and having really powerful exchanges with those people that would otherwise never happen was and has been mindblowing. However, online connections will never ever compare to the connections I have made offline - in real life. From the events and retreats I have hosted to the events I’ve attended and enjoyed being a participant. Those are the connections that mean the most and go the deepest. And this is why I want to continue creating these spaces for you all in this community.
While creating Instagrammable sober memes and positive quotes and sharing all the aspects of your chosen sobriety with your online community can be fun and rewarding in its own way, imagine what it would feel like to connect with women in this community IRL!
I can tell you firsthand—it feels incredible. I have so many courageous, powerful, and hilarious women in my corner now. Some of them I talk to nearly every day, and others I know would be there in a heartbeat if I needed them. And it would be reciprocated, no questions asked. I think about this when creating these spaces for connection and community. I want every woman out there who is feeling alone or uninspired to have a tangible place to create real C&C.
So, in the spirit of keeping myself accountable to the things that are important to me, I am thrilled to announce that the next Alcohol-Free Adventure Retreat is live. I have waited FIVE years to do this again, and I am loving the return of all the feelings of excitement and nervousness and having meaningful travel to look forward to again. I also love the feeling that I am doing something that I believe in and that matters.
These retreats really do move the needle!
We are heading to Mexico again, but this retreat will be quite different from any other I have hosted. Initially, I was always very focused on creating unique adventures for non-drinkers, which were wildly beautiful. However, at the end of each day, as we all gathered together, inevitably, the conversation of sobriety came up. It started organically but then eventually became part of each retreat schedule.
This upcoming retreat will include an upgrade in accommodations, and I am shifting the priority of adventure and bringing the aspect of our sobriety forward-facing.
THIS RETREAT HAS BEEN CREATED TO CELEBRATE YOUR CHOICE TO LIVE ALCOHOL-FREE!
While we all know that quitting alcohol is not easy (no matter what the reason), I have never shied away from unapologetically choosing to focus on all the positives that can come from this way of life. With this, I will share my experience and many tools that have helped transform what might be viewed as a negative life choice into one of the best life hacks ever.
This retreat is designed to honor you and your journey. It’s a space where everyone is celebrated. More than just a gathering, this experience will help you build a community—a future squad of like-hearted individuals who uplift and inspire each other. Together, you’ll share stories, explore new ideas, and lay the foundation for lasting connections that encourage and empower you as you move forward in this chosen lifestyle.
